Simon Claridge Cards: An Introduction
A very popular Washington Green artist, Simon's early obsession with art whilst in junior school continued throughout my education, and whenever asked what he wanted to do when he grew up the answer was always 'to be an artist!'
Upon receiving his BA in Fine Art from the University of Reading, he was determined not to stop the journey that he had started, and continued to paint wherever and whenever he could as he was only interested in becoming a painter.
His goal is to leave to the viewer some tangible emotional feeling. If the flat areas of colour Ihe creates on the canvas surface can be given depth in the imagination of the viewer then he feels it's been successful
